Meet Brenda

Brenda López Romero

Attorney. Community leader. Former Georgia state representative.

Born in Mexico. Raised in Georgia. Committed to serving families.

Brenda López Romero is the founding attorney of López Firm, a former Georgia state representative, and a community leader with more than 20 years of experience in law, public service, and work with our communities.

Born in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico, and raised in Georgia, Brenda grew up between two cultures. Her own family’s immigration story gave her firsthand insight into the challenges many families face when living in a new country, especially when language barriers, cultural differences, or complex legal systems stand in the way.

That personal experience continues to shape her approach to practicing law. Today, Brenda represents individuals and families in immigration and personal injury cases, helping you understand your options and protect your rights during some of the most difficult and important moments of your life.

A message from Brenda

I am Attorney Brenda.

A story that began in Mexico and continued in Georgia. For more than two decades, I have dedicated my career to law, public service, and community advocacy.

I had the honor of serving as a state representative and was the first Latina elected to the Georgia General Assembly.

I have lived your story of effort and struggle for a better life. We are here to listen, explain, and advocate for you.

Brenda has more than 15 years of experience as an attorney and previously served as Chief Deputy Solicitor-General of Gwinnett County, where she worked on matters involving conviction review, restorative justice, and accountability court programs.

In 2016, Brenda made history as the first Latina elected to the Georgia General Assembly. As a state representative, she served on the Education, Retirement, and State Planning and Community Affairs committees.

During her public service, she worked on education, workforce development, economic opportunities, and strengthening Georgia’s communities.

Throughout her career, Brenda has worked across law, government, education, business, and community leadership, building partnerships and seeking to expand access to opportunity and justice.

Bicultural and bilingual, Brenda understands that when you face a legal problem, being able to talk with someone who understands your language, culture, and circumstances can make a significant difference.

For Brenda, legal representation begins with something simple but essential: listening. Listening to your story, explaining your options clearly, and being there to defend your rights.

Your story matters. Your family matters. And you deserve an attorney who listens.
